"Surviving Success is about doing what you love, having good help, both at work and at home, learning how to integrated (more than balance) your professional and personal life and being connected to those things that specifically for you touch your heart and soul." Marcia Rosen

Success Tips:
  • Write out your vision of success for now and for your future.
  • Make a plan of action to accomplish your vision.
  • Prepare to take the necessary and right actions to make your vision and your plan a reality.
  • Make a list of all your accomplishments from the time when you were very young.
  • Now be connected to your accomplishments.
  • Make a list of what makes you feel sad, bad, mad.
  • Determine what you can let go of and move beyond those negatives.
  • Know there comes a time when you have to move beyond your history.
  • Ask for help.
  • Expect good help.
  • And take good care of yourself!
Negotiating For Success Tips:
  • Negotiating effectively is a skill of communication, compromise and calculations.
  • Be properly and sufficiently prepared.
  • Ask for advice, support and assistance prior to important negotiations.
  • Be a strong and positive communicator.
  • Know when and how to compromise.
  • Demonstrate understanding.
  • Maintain calm and patience.
  • Calculate what you are willing to give in order to get what you want.
  • Be skilled in the negotiating essentials of problem solving, listening, and ability to deal with conflict and disagreement in negotiating.
  • Don't give in when you should stand your ground.
  • Always go in knowing you have enough leverage to ask for what you want.
  • BE PREPARED, BE PREPARED, BE PREPARED.
Tips to Get your Query Letter Noticed!
  • Some simple steps you can take to make your letter different:
  • Single space your letter.
  • Try to make your letter one page
  • Use spell check!
  • Use colored paper, not to bright but something a little different
  • Use creative packaging to send your letter, maybe a plain white box rather than an envelope. It will stand out on their desk, and get opened first.
  • FOLLOW UP - call or send a note, calling is better but please remember to follow up!
